Speaking of strong is sexy

Did you see Erin on the front of Oxygen?  Enough said......

Female Version of GSP

Over the weekend I posted on Facebook that I want to be a female version of GSP (Georges St-Pierre, the MMA fighter).  Each time I see him on tv or a picture of him somewhere I admire how well toned and muscular he is, not to mention I have watched training clips of him and he trains bada$$.

No, don't get the wrong impression that I EVER want to be a fighter, I don't.  I like my face the way it is, but since knowing Harley and watching many MMA fights he is probably one of my favorites and I admire his hard work.  I always say I want to be big enough to do whatever I want to do.  Skinny is definitely out!  Sexy is bada$$ strong lean muscles!

On the flip, Harley wants me to change up my diet.  It is time for a change, just not sure of the % of macros yet.  The #'s look massive no matter how I run them.  My workouts are beautiful.  Loving the Y3T program I found in Flex, just got my new mag in and there was a Part 2 for weeks 7-12, I was like a kid in a candy store.  I am SO EXCITED to get started on the next 6 weeks.  I am on week 5 right now and can see HUGE results in my strength and definition is popping and I am nowhere near my lean weight.

Got to go for now, so I leave you with a little something, something.....

Yea, that's how we do it!  :)

Feeling a need to catch up

OK well we will blame my sister. There sounds good to me. She is the reason for my MIA behavior. Naw, just trying to "kill it" this year at work, so not much time for any extras. Although I have been trying to keep up on Facebook a bit more, you can find me under Crystal Holden. Since I am taking on a few mud runs this year I have decided to pack on a few pounds, hopefully of muscle and nothing else, but we all know how that goes. To get the catch up done, I am working out 6 days a week. I have 5 heavy lift days, an extreme cardio day, and a hike/run day. My diet is clean. Portions might be a bit big at times, but that's how we add the muscle with the heavy lifting. If I cheat it is maybe once a week if that. I have been doing the 6 week program posted in the latest Flex mag. I am finishing up week three and guys my strength is much improved. Wish I had the link to post, but I don't. Each evening I am also doing some "extras" to help prepare me for my mud runs. I am doing 80 crunches, 10 burpees, 20 push ups, 1 min front plank, and 45 sec side planks, and 20 hip thrusts. Burpees are ABSOLUTELY the worst exercise ever closely followed by plank and push ups! :)

This is a steal I think from Ms Kelly O from way back, but it definitely is what I am shooting for, but like my sister told me, with a little more muscle. (As if that stuff comes easy, I love you sis!)

Let's not talk chicken!

What do you eat when you can not eat another piece of chicken? What is your go to food, your off chicken for a week food, your I can not stand another piece of chicken food?

Just curious, because people are always asking.

Thanks!

Crazy busy but will try to make time

Work has changed up a little, some new responsiblities, but something I am happy to do. Also, I have started training for my 1st mud run in May. Loving the whole idea right now. My team is up to 11 people. A strong team that I think after our first "for fun" round could become competitive. We'll see.
Sorry to keep it short, but I have lots to do.
Have a good week!!
Go LSU!

I am ready, you?

These are 4 events I have found so far I may be interested in doing if I can round up a team (men or women).  You can look at the websites, this is without a doubt the coolest thing I have seen.  I am dying to participate.  If you are in any of these areas or will be in any of these areas and would be remotely interested or know someone who would be interested please let me know.

Brief Catchup

Happy New Year!  Workouts have been good, haven't missed any that I have not made up.  Diet has been horrible.  Did not follow my own advise about preparing food ahead of time and got caught up in eating what was convenient.  All of that is over and forgotten.  Now I jump back on the horse I fell off of and get to kicking.  Lesson learned!

I hope all of you did a much better job than I did and you are well on your way to a healthier you for 2012!

To begin again we must start with what we have learned in the past, for me that is get back to the basics no one else better to demonstrate that from than the man himself:
